HAS ANYONE SEEN A MODEL PLANE FLYING BACKWARDS? ?

I have!!! I kid you not. One particular blustery and frosty Sunday, father 
and son turned up at the club with an electric tiny little foam model, 
perfectly suited for indoor flying!! and enquired if his boy could join the 
club and learn to fly.
A few of us gathered round to inspect this tiny little thing,  eyebrows 
raised in amusement. I explained that we could certainly teach his boy to 
fly, but that today was not suitable as the wind was far too strong for this 
particular model, and that they should come back when conditions were more 
suitable. 
I obviously had grossly underestimated the skills of this particular and very 
experience pilot, who volunteered and  subsequently  proved to the club, that 
indeed a plane can fly backwards.
As we looked on, he prepared to hand launch this tiny little thing into the 
air, with the arm and grace action of an Olympic javelin thrower.
At the point of release this tiny little thing shot off backwards like a dart 
lodging it self firmly Into the dreaded Beef Burger Tree >>>>

all know the strict rule that applies if anyone flies into the BEEF BURGER 
TREE!!!! But come on chaps, lets show a little compassion on this occasion, 
after all planes don't fly backwards or do they !!!!!!
